Neymar gathering pace for El Clasico

Neymar gathering pace for El Clasico

Barcelona, Mar 30 (EFE).- Neymar is raring to go with the Clasico on the horizon next Saturday, as the Brazilian returned to Barcelona earlier than scheduled and had an extra rest before firing on all cylinders.
The forward failed to find the net for Brazil against Uruguay, and picked up a yellow card that ruled him out from the next game against Paraguay, which also allowed his early return to Spain.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, there has been criticism in Brazil because the 24-year-old stayed behind to party in his homeland rather than heading straight back to Barcelona, but the club claims that the star did nothing wrong and was on time for training on Tuesday.
Neymar is positively eager for Saturday's match as he is always extra pumped up for the big games and particularly when it comes to taking on Real Madrid.
This much has been evident on the five occasions when he has faced Los Blancos since signing for Barca in June 2013.
He was on the score sheet in his very first Clasico, a 2-1 home triumph, and he was also heavily involved in the 4-3 victory at the Bernabeu later that season, winning the penalty which hat-trick hero Lionel Messi converted to make it 3-3.
